Underground Fuel Tank Investigation and Removal
SAWR were commissioned to investigate the soils surrounding and the contents of 12 underground liquid storage tanks at an active Ministry of Defence site. Following this we were commissioned to empty, degas, supervise the removal and undertake soil validation of these former fuel storage installations. Each of the tanks was approximately 55,000 litre capacity; six had been previously decommissioned and filled with water, the remaining six had residues of de-icing compounds.
